Did you know that if your
refrigerator was manufactured prior to 1990, that it uses more
energy than almost any other major appliance in your home?
(Second only to an older washing machine) Replacing your existing
refrigerator with a newer energy efficient model could reduce your
electric bill by $30 - $70 per year depending on which model you
choose.

Did you know that ceiling fans
should be used in both the winter and the summer? During the
warmer months, you should keep your ceiling fan set to spin in a
clockwise motion in order to keep air flowing through the room.
In the colder months set it to spin in a counter-clockwise motion
at a low speed, and it will pull warm air back down from the
ceiling. As a result of the increased comfort level, you will be
able to keep your thermostat at a higher setting in the summer and
a lower setting in the winter. This will save energy and money.
