Did you know that ceiling fans should be used in both the winter and the summer?  During the warmer months, you should keep your ceiling fan set to spin in a clockwise motion in order to  keep air flowing through the room.  In the colder months set it to spin in a counter-clockwise motion at a low speed, and it will pull warm air back down from the ceiling.  As a result of the increased comfort level, you will be able to keep your thermostat at a higher setting in the summer and a lower setting in the winter.  This will save energy and money.

Article 3
